Imaging Partnership Vision Health offers a ground breaking new approach to offer services to schools that preserve eyesight for pupils in school settings. Our ambition is to transform their literacy levels which lay the foundation for future life success. We are a leading Vision Health company for expertise and program implementation guidance on serving primary schools and parents through objective information.
Our Vision Health consultants together with our learning educational platform function as our communications device between parents and teachers.
Vision health is changing at a rapid pace and consumers expect the same level of service and immediacy that they receive with other service based industries. Good vision is the foundation for learning, and we want to help all children reach their potential by making sure their vision capability has been checked.
Did you know? Over 90% of children see a dentist regularly, but only 53% of children have ever had an eye check (something we want to change for the better). Undiagnosed eye conditions may lead to academic underachievement and health issues.
Did you know? During the first 12 years, as much as 80 percent of learning is done through vision and the earlier a problem is detected the better the chance of successful treatment.
Our Services
Nutritional wellbeing
Protecting your eyes starts with the food on your plate. 
Nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids, lutein, zinc, and vitamins C and E help ward off vision problems: regularly eating these foods can help lead to good eye health. Our healthcare team provides extensive resources to pupils that can instruct parents and children of the values of a positive nutritional diet
Health and Lifestyle wellbeing
IP Vision Health also conducts thorough on school site testing’s in conjunction with health and lifestyle related areas. These include: carbohydrate and protein intake of pupils, lifestyle habits (such as watching television or computer games), cardiac health tests together with height and weight ratios in relation to age.
Learning through health and wellbeing enables children and young people to:
- make informed decisions in order to improve their mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing
- experience challenge and enjoyment
- experience positive aspects of healthy living and activity for themselves
- apply their mental, emotional, social and physical skills to pursue a healthy lifestyle
- make a successful move to the next stage of education or work
- Establish a pattern of health and wellbeing which will be sustained into adult life, and which will help to promote the health and wellbeing of the next generation of children.
Good health and wellbeing is central to effective learning and preparation for successful independent living. It also promotes confidence, independent thinking and positive attitudes and dispositions.
Education Learning Programmes for Teachers
Our helpdesk support team provides educational learning programmes for teachers to aid the preservation of healthy eye care within schools. We also have dedicated Partnership Directors and Territory Alliance Directors working internationally to engage pupils in a healthy, active lifestyle which then preserves eye health.
Vision screening service for schools
IP Vision Health has created a comprehensive screening care system and accompanying toolkit that our certified practitioners can administer in school.
We also offer our Vision Health processes and systems to school personnel, such as teachers, school nurses and administrators. The IP Vision Health Screening system checks visual acuity to help identify vision defects including amblyopia, refractive error and strabismus.
Once the vision screen is completed, IP Vision Health will produce a letter to advise parents and carers if a further referral to an optometrist is recommended for your son or daughter. In all cases parents and carers will be reminded of the importance of regular eye checks for their children. The system has been developed with the aim of supporting every child and can be used for any level of literacy, making it suitable for all children at school. We will also provide lesson plans to teachers to bring the importance of eye health to life in the classroom.
- Vision Health: Customized connection
Teachers have 1:1 advice from eye care professional practitioners, in school time via video chat, telephone, text or email. IP Vision Health also has an after hour’s service for parents: parents and teachers can talk through any issues they have with one of our certified Vision Health practitioners.
- Exclusive Connections
Teachers (up to 6) can consult with an IP Vision Health practitioner, in school time via video chat, telephone, text or email.
- Parent Connections
Communication between an industry Vision Health practitioner and a parent to suit both parties, either during school time or outside school via video chat, telephone, text or email.
Our service to parents is also available for after hour’s care, where parents can use our service to receive advice on our main services.
- Low Vision Aids
Our partnerships with leading manufacturers include products that help children from an early age through varied products which include: absorptive lenses, reading machines, video and reading magnifiers and bespoke display solutions for schools.
- Auditory Tests
A simple auditory test to ensure pupils hearing is accurate and meeting the levels they should be at that age and development.
Complimentary Services
Swimming Goggles and Masks 
We have the very best swimming goggles which can even be worn over
contact lenses. If you normally wear
spectacles we also have goggles and masks which can be made to your specific prescription allowing you perfect vision while you swim.
Coloured Overlays
Coloured overlays are transparent sheets of coloured plastic that can be placed over a page or a book so as to colour the text without affecting its clarity. The colour reduces the perceptual distortions of text that children sometimes describe. They enable some children to read more fluently, with less discomfort and fewer symptoms of visual stress.

The refraction test is an eye exam that measures a person’s prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses.
Visual Field Tests
A visual field test is an eye examination that can detect dysfunction in central and peripheral vision which may be caused by various medical conditions such as glaucoma, stroke, brain tumours or other neurological deficits.

Our Role in your School
- Promote the use of eye health care in order to improve the learning outcomes and emotional well-being of children and young people.
- To contribute to the school’s safeguarding and critical response procedures.
- To contribute to the school’s programmes of staff development in relation to student outcomes and school objectives.
- Advise and support colleagues in order to share expertise and knowledge. To initiate and contribute to projects and research at an individual and strategic level.
- To work closely with the SENCo, Teachers and Teaching Assistants to develop educational programs promoting good eye care.
- To work with all staff to develop the teaching of vision care.
- Included in the screening service is information on mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing now and in the future. Learning through health and wellbeing enables children and young people to make informed decisions in order to improve their mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing.
- Provide a network of localised Optometrists for each school, for if parents need to seek professional guidance on next steps after a vision screening result has come back negative.
- Offering new, up to date products that help develop a child’s visual acuity, based on his / her individual needs.

Getting connected with us
Telephone talks can be made the same day and this includes our video chat, text and email services. These are coordinated by our in house helpdesk team and phone lines are open from 8am – 7pm.
What do we charge?
The cost to parents is £15 per pupil, for each academic year (£1.50 per month). Payments can be made to us via BACs, Cheque, Standing Order, Cash (in full), Credit Card, Debit Card or via Direct Debit.
Schools distribute letters to parents, explaining more about the service and ask for the registration form to be completed before a deadline date.
A data protection disclosure form will be enclosed to verify that no records will be shared with any third parties.

Our Eye Care Helpdesk Teams
We provide consistency and reliability to the communications between School pupils and professional Optometrists through our eye care helpdesk teams.
We do this through our partnership director personnel who are available via telephone, email or text messaging service.
The areas that our Partnership Directors help school personnel in are:
- Enabling teleconferencing services between parents and certified practitioners
- Supporting pupil development outcomes in maintaining healthy eye sight, from ages 7 – 11
- Providing nutritional advice through our screening services, encouraging the benefits of a healthy lifestyle in the context of preserving clear eyesight.
