Supply Teaching Division

Introducing a unique way of bringing Schools and STEM Supply Teachers together.

From our International success of working with Primary and Secondary based Schools, we’ve opened a direct line of contact between Schools and Teachers bypassing the costly and cumbersome blockage of supply Teacher recruitment agencies. Once screened and registered within our database, our Teachers are free to work for any membership schools. Teachers receive their Main Pay Scale salary in full without any agency commission. Schools who subscribe to IP Education Supply Teaching have access to our full staff database. They can view and access complete staff profiles and recruit teachers directly for either short term supply or permanent positions, without paying any agency or finder’s fees.

In order to register with us, all teachers must undergo our rigorous screening checks. Each teacher is interviewed in person, and comprehensive checks are carried out to verify their qualifications and to ensure that they hold a valid DBS Certificate (previously CRB). Once registered, their details and full profile are available to all IP Education Supply Teaching Membership Schools.

All fees for supply staff are paid in full and directly to the supply teacher by the school at Main Pay Scale rate. We take neither a commission from the teacher’s salary nor do we charge schools a finder’s fee. This ensures that both the school and supply staff achieve the best possible value from the appointment.

How does it work?

Once fully screened, teachers upload their professional profile onto the secure database. When in need of either long or short term cover, membership schools login in and select teachers which fit their criteria. The School contacts the teacher directly to arrange the cover. At the end of the employment period, the teacher is paid directly by the School.

It’s free for supply Teachers to register with us.

Types of Work

With Imaging Partnership Education, there are 4 types of work that we offer:

Daily cover – This is the most flexible option. You get to work in a variety of schools on a day to day basis. Some bookings may be made with you in advance and some may be booked via a call out in the morning. This is a great way to see a range of schools and year groups. It also enables you to get a taste of what a school or year group is like before accepting a more long-term appointment.

Short term cover – An extension of daily supply, lasting up to 12 weeks. This would allow you have a more active role within the school in regards to planning and responsibility. This is great for teachers who are looking to gain more experience of school life or who want the comfort of guaranteed work for a set period of time.

Long term cover – Working for more than 12 weeks, you would have the same entitlements as a class teacher. You would also be expected to make greater contributions to school life and curriculum planning.

Permanent positions – Often teachers working on a long term cover will be offered a contract by the school. Imaging Partnership Education also help schools to recruit permanent members of staff on their behalf.

  • Taking the time to get to know your school and what you are looking for from your staff

We make organising cover as easy as possible and only provide staff that share our high standards. Most importantly, we work hard to make a long lasting positive contribution to the success of your school and your pupils.

Checking and Vetting

At Imaging Partnership Education, we take checking and vetting very seriously and follow government legislation and guidance from the Department for Education document called ‘Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education’.

For all staff that we work with we check:

  • Enhanced DBS disclosures
  • Identity
  • Barred list
  • Right to work in the UK
  • References
  • Qualifications

Safeguarding and safe recruitment with supply

We make sure that we provide a clear record that all necessary safeguarding checks have been completed before a supply teacher arrives at your school. Our booking confirmation email includes:

  • Teachers name
  • Teachers date of birth
  • DBS number
  • Date of DBS check
  • TRN (Teacher reference number)

When our supply staff arrive at your school, they will be wearing a name badge which also confirms the above information and displays photographic ID. They will also have with them the original paper copy of their DBS check.

Types of Cover we offer

Daily and short term cover

Imaging Partnership Education offer a quick, efficient and reliable cover on a daily and short term basis.

Our teachers keep us up to date with their availability so we are able to quickly organise suitable local cover. We advise that when possible, you book in advance to ensure that you get the teacher that you want.

Long Term cover

When one of our teachers works in a school for 12 weeks and over, this is classed as long term cover. It may be that you want someone to cover a class for a teachers PPA time or the SENCO for their release time. We can provide the same teacher for as long as needed if we are told that it is long term cover. After 12 weeks, all agency teachers are entitled to the same rights as a class teacher in line with Agency Worker Regulations.

We suggest to our schools that they provisionally try one of our teachers for a day of supply before confirming the long term booking, as it is important that the teacher is right for the school and vice versa.
