Providing career pathway support for students, aged 11 to 17 years, who have aptitudes in visual arts to work in emerging and new industries

Become an IP-Unite Centre

Accreditation for Schools, Worldwide

To become an IP Certified Centre a teacher or group of teachers in your school need to successfully complete a training course.

You can choose up to 3 modules per one day. Any one of the three will qualify the school for which the maximum teacher attendance is 10.

Fees relate to per school not per individual member of teaching staff.

Once a school is IP Unite centre, it can deliver IP accredited programmes.

Imaging Partnership inspires young people to grow their arts and leadership talents into emerging industries: it’s creative, valuable and accessible.

Imaging Partnership is accredited with Asdan.

The award is a personal learning programme which develops and assesses both arts-related and transferable skills, such as creativity, communication, planning and teamwork:

young people aged up to 18 can achieve through Imaging Partnership
Our levels are accredited by Ofqual within the Qualifications and Credit Framework

I have access needs or specific individual requirements

Imaging Partnership is continually working to improve access to our programmes, including training courses, for everyone with specific individual requirements.

Please note, if delivery partners need training materials in accessible digital formats or advance copies of material for BSL interpreters, we will need a minimum of 6 weeks notice to provide materials in hard copy large print, Braille or as audio recordings, as these are produced to order.

Please also note we require at least 8 weeks notice for certain other requests such as securing British Sign Language translators.

Steps to moderation

For a young person to achieve their certified Imaging Partnership level, two important steps should be followed at the end of their Imaging Partnership journey.

The Primary assessor, a trained Imaging Partnership delivery partner, who has been working with the young people should assess the young person’s work using an assessment report form.
The delivery partner’s assessment should be validated by a trained Imaging Partnership moderator through the moderation process.

What is moderation?

A moderation involves a moderator, trained by Imaging Partnership looking at a selected sample of the young people’s work in order to validate an Imaging Partnership delivery partner’s assessment.

Am I ready for moderation and how do I request a moderation?

As an Imaging Partnership delivery partner, whilst planning your Imaging Partnership project with your students, you should also be thinking ahead to when you think your young people’s work will be ready for moderation.

Becoming an Imaging Partnership Centre

Young people work towards their awards using Imaging Partnership centres as a base, in addition to working independently.

Every Imaging Partnership centre is registered with Pathway Picture Alliance and must have at least one trained Imaging Partnership delivery partner. Delivery partners can work with one centre or across several, and they may also establish new centres.

Becoming an Imaging Partnership centre is a great way to:

Kick-start a new arts project
Use a clear framework for your existing work with young people
Enable young people to work towards a national qualification
Engage more young people in the arts and challenge them to develop their creativity and leadership skills

Training as an Imaging Partnership delivery partner

Imaging Partnership delivery partners are key to the success of Imaging Partnership. They support children and young people working towards their awards, acting as mentors, facilitators and primary assessors.

Moderation

Imaging Partnership delivery partners are the primary assessors of children and young people’s work.

Want to explore your creativity… and get a nationally recognised qualification?

Students will end up with a portfolio or arts log that shows off their creativity and gives them a recognised national qualification or award to put on your CV.

Students will need to:

take part in different imaging based activities that have influences from different industries eg engineering
be inspired by artists and arts organisations
experience arts events
share your arts skills with others
put together a portfolio or arts log in your own choice of format
