Unite with Schools around the World
We are proud and enthusiastic about the way schools around the world are embracing our learning programmes and teacher resources.
Read our international case studies to see what programmes are being delivered.
We like to make sure we are working in an empathetic way with you as a school or educational provider. Read through the list below and see if you are asking the same questions that we are thinking about. If so, we’re probably going to be good partners!
• What is our shared understanding of what progression looks like?
• How do we ensure appropriate progression for all children based on their learning on IP programmes?
• How do staff plan for sharing of knowledge, ideas and progression within levels and from one level to another?
• To what extent are we clear about children’s next steps in learning and the support needed to achieve them?
• How do we ensure our children are clear on their next steps in learning and how these can be achieved?
• Do we plan an appropriate range of learning opportunities to ensure the needs of all children are being met?
• How effective are we at incorporating commercial resources appropriately into our planning for progression in children’s learning?
If these are the type of questions you ask in your school, we will make a great professional partner for you!

Gifted and Talented
IP recognises that children with high learning potential have different learning needs and we have designed specific modules with these young people and their teachers in mind. Our Bringing Optical Intelligence into Education programme has been designed to address the issues that often face high learning potential children.
We recognise that the challenge of the gifted child is that of creating learning opportunities appropriate to their ability and age while at the same time, keeping them emotionally and socially within their peer structure. Once identified, the highly able child needs challenging learning experiences and this is where our Bringing Optical Intelligence into Education comes into its own.
This thoughtful, innovative and practical programme comprises 18 modules which equate to more than 300 potential teaching contact time hours. We supply the programme as downloadable resource packs which include lesson plans, learning assessments, monthly mentoring and solution platforms for teachers.

IP Brand Advocates
Schools around the world are training their teachers to deliver IP certified learning programmes to give students a competitive advantage when it comes to emerging industries based on visual arts and optics.
The delivery arrangements in schools differ. A popular choice is to deliver the programmes as extracurricular workshops where parents pay for the sessions on a weekly or monthly basis.
Schools can buy IP programmes and train teachers to deliver just one, or a series or a whole family of programmes. This flexibility and choice means that students can benefit in a range of ways and teachers and schools can tailor the scope and scale of extended learning as they see fit. We are also inviting teachers to get involved with developing new programmes by advising us of the topic they would like to explore.
International schools are acting as a hub for an area or specific territory and we work together with state schools to spread the learning further.
External Moderators – Imaging Partnership
The External Moderator carries out visits at the school to assess practical skills from our workshops being carried out and offer advice on production of the training portfolio. This relationship is very important as it allows the EM to discuss practical skills and issues with a professional from another department. It means that good practice can be shared across the scheme. The Moderators also benefit from building relationships with colleagues from different locations, again sharing ideas and good practice.
We are always looking for new External Moderators who are willing to share the skills and experience with younger colleagues. This vital role in the training scheme brings many rewards.

School Learning Exchange
Engagement between our schools, industry and business is increasing a key part of our work. We are proactively connecting academics, business leaders, captains of industry and students in our mission to integrate Imaging with Emerging Technologies, helping students to prepare for pathways into exciting new careers. See our International Case Studies where schools are working together.
We can also provide a school connections service. This would be for schools or learning institutions that wish to connect with other schools around the world to share learing experiences and to exchange ideas. Talk to us about what your would like to achieve through a school connections service.
We encourage like minded learners to make connections with students around the world. Science and Innovation clubs have sprung into life by students with enthusiam and a procative approach. Through these clubs, learners can swap ideas and share experiences and take their learning into other areas. Our programmes serve as a great platform to get clubs started, and our additional resources provide ideal learning milestones for learners of all ages.
Social Action Campaigns
As an outcome of the work we are doing in schools, students are building on their learning and translating it into self-led social action campaigns.
Participation on our Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation programmes has prompted a call to action for students who want to take their new skills and experience and turn it into something positive for their school and their wider community.
One example of this new social action is in a UK school which has a partner school overseas. Students working on our Leadership Programme decided to translate their learning into a mentoring initiative for the younger students in the school. The older students (aged 17 and 18 years) devised their own training module aimed at 12 and 13 year olds to learn about using visual arts skills in with burgeoning industries.
Knowledge Transfer
We will programme a series of webinars where will invite interested individuals to take part so we can share ideas, knowledge and opportunities with the intention of everyone benefiting from the shared learning process. Our aspirational outcome is to translate what we learn into new products and services such as App Development, Learning Technologies, Learning Management Tools and Systems and Programmes.
Creating Income for your School
A Partnership working between you and IP can provide a valuable income stream for your school. You can make money by utilising the skills learned by a member of your staff through one of our learning programmes, put to work on an after school session. The school charges on a per pupil basis for the after school session. It doesn’t take long for you to cover your cost and to start providing an ongoing income stream for the school creating a win-win situation for everyone. Imaging Partnership can help promote your IP based after school clubs by providing tried and tested marketing materials to send to parents. Talk to us about marketing support for after school clubs. Our Partnership Directors based in your country are on hand to provide support and advice for schools who want to know more about our products and learning programmes. See case studies of classroom connections in the UK. Read more stories of how we have worked in ‘imaging partnership’ with schools in the UK.
Innovations
Innovations Case Studies
A specific outcome from our range of Innovation Learning Programmes is often the design and production of an innovation product. Students from ages 7 to 17 have taken part in classroom projects that have innovation at their heart. Here are some examples of these projects:
- Children have designed and produced a healthcare screening machine prototype as an outcome of their 3D Design programme from IP.
- Students created an IMAX APP mode.
- Students created an APP to convert a standard image into a wide screen image.
- Students undertook a project called Medicine Meets Optics. The 17 year olds, who were all interested in pursuing a career in Medicine furthered their understanding of how Optics feeds into the Medical Profession.
- A group of 7 year olds working on their PCs created a basic coding formula for what it would take to correct short-sighted vision.
- Medical Informatics was the topic studied by students on ‘Working Internationally in Visual Technologies Programme’. Students aged 16 and 17 used code to design a records programme which stored specific patient information which would improve patient care.
– Students built their own camera lenses on their IP programme
- – A group of 11 year olds designed an information feedback system for Medical settings to analyse Dietary requirements for patients.
- – Students worked on the Using Camera Technologies Used in Movies programme.
