The objective of the day was for students to work in groups to write the script, produce and direct their own films incorporating all the different facets of filmmaking. Everyone had the chance to get involved in storyboarding, scriptwriting, cinematography, production design, costume design, producing, directing and editing.
The students were aged 16 – 17 and worked in groups of 6. They created their own showcase of short films which was then presented to the college Governors to support an application to gain sponsorship and secure additional funding for a new video production facility. This will be decided in September 2014.
