Partnership project

Delivered over eight weeks, the idea was for everyone to learn new skills and to encourage creativity as a family activity. Using their own digital cameras, Mums, dads, grandparents took part in workshops where students improved their technical knowledge and had fun working together on creative projects.

What the teachers said

Both parents and daughters learnt an enormous amount of technical areas as well as creative aspects that improved on the girls’ spatial aptitude.

What the students said

It has been both fun and very educational. My parents came with me on some of the workshops and then we worked together on the weekend to practice our skills ready for next week.

Going forward

The course provided a fun creative way for families to connect together and to equip everyone with an additional life skill that gives them a visual way of seeing the world.
