The after school sessions were delivered by Imaging Partnership at All Souls Primary School, East London. The workshops ran every week and were attended by 35 participants made up of children aged 7 and 8 and their parents or carers.
In the 90 minute sessions which ran over 8 weeks, all the basics of digital photography were explored as were a range of lighting and composition techniques. The idea behind the sessions arranged by the school, was to promote and nurture family bonding by learning something new together.
During the 8 weeks, participants also looked at all types of photography that involves groups – such as portraiture and sport. The workshops were so well received that a parent volunteered to run after school club in photography to benefit the children.
